Yoga transforms body and mind on many levels. Through the physical practices we gain flexibility, strength and balance. Breath awareness and meditation techniques calm the mind and inspire us to live more joyfully.
Margery has been practising yoga since childhood, influenced by her mother and aunt who were both yoga teachers. Margery specialises in yoga for beginners and those with special needs. Her experience as an occupational therapist working in rehabilitation and as a Feldenkrais practitioner has taught her the importance of adapting the yoga practice to the individual. She combines the physical practices of asana with breath work and meditation to benefit the whole person; body, mind and spirit.

The ancient yogis developed the science of yoga to help overcome the trap of negative thinking and depression that all of us succumb to at various times in our life. Yoga practices are the perfect antidote to our busy, modern lives. Yoga incorporates body, breath and mind, drawing us closer to the states of joy, peacefulness and self-acceptance we all crave.
Mindfulness practices and yoga are now being integrated into mainstream health care as more evidence-based studies highlight the significant role yoga can play in the lives of those who experience depression and anxiety.
