We all know that sitting for prolonged periods can lead to pain, stiffness and poor posture. Many of us experience such discomfort when we sit for long periods at work. Our bodies were not designed to sit in one position for so long - they were designed to move!!
Prolonged sitting increases the risk of developing occupational injuries such as low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, frozen shoulder and headaches ….

The Smart Sitting exercise series is a simple and effective way to:

  • Reduce physical tension and strain from prolonged sitting
  • Improve your posture and comfort at work
  • Enhance your well-being
  • Assist in the prevention and recovery from occupational injuries.

Sitting doesn’t have to mean holding a stiff upright posture that is painful to maintain, or slumping in your chair. These lessons show you how to make “mini-movements” in your chair that will help you learn to sit with a relaxed, easy posture.
Smart Sitting incorporates whole body patterns which are based on the natural design of your muscles and joints and directly relate to the way you sit in a chair and use a computer.
Smart Sitting is not a temporary fix, it teaches you a skill you will have for the rest of your life.

Smart Sitting is available in three formats

  • Individual sessions
  • Workplace-based workshops
  • CD or MP 3 format
