About the program
A dynamic and springy walking style is the natural movement that stimulates bone strength. It is the rhythmic pulsations of lively steps that enables the blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients, to penetrate the solid tissue of the bones.
Bones For Life facilitates a well-aligned posture and harmonious movement, both essential for stimulating bone strength and healthy living as we age.
This popular class incorporates Feldenkrais, Bones For Life and Yoga to improve flexibility, strength and posture. Effective ways of bringing pressure to the bones include using balance and the use of a harness to run and jump safely.
Here is what Margery’s students say about Bones For Life:
“Margery’s Bones For Life classes have been of great benefit to me. My posture has improved and I feel stronger and fitter. This has been verified by a recent bone density test showing a marked improvement in bone density and that I have gained one centimetre in height.” Sally C
“Margery’s clear instructions guide me to gently explore old and new patterns in my 60-year-old body. After each session I am more aware of the benefits of Bones For Life, with a clearer sense of how I move and breathe and the need to walk “tall” and how to move my body so I don’t strain my back." Joyce C
